Eystx Foundation is the charitable arm of Eystx, Inc. Our mission is to create a positive impact on society by empowering children in the Middle East through education and healthcare initiatives. Our focus is on ensuring that every child has access to quality education and healthcare services, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
The need for action is clear. In the Middle East, millions of children are out of school, and many more lack access to essential healthcare services. According to UNICEF, there are over 15 million children out of school in the region, with girls disproportionately affected. Moreover, children in conflict-affected areas are at an increased risk of missing out on education and healthcare services, and their physical and mental well-being are at risk.
At Eystx Foundation, we believe that every child has the right to a quality education and healthcare services. We are committed to improving the situation for children in the Middle East by supporting education and healthcare initiatives. Our goal is to create a sustainable impact and enable children to reach their full potential.
Our work is guided by data and evidence. We regularly monitor key indicators of children’s education and healthcare in the Middle East to identify gaps and target our efforts. For example, according to the World Bank, the Middle East has one of the highest rates of out-of-school children globally, with approximately 11% of children of primary school age not enrolled in school. This number increases to 18% for secondary school age children. We aim to bridge this gap by supporting programs that increase access to education and improve the quality of learning for children in the region.
Similarly, healthcare indicators in the Middle East are concerning. The World Health Organization reports that the region has some of the highest rates of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, with an increasing burden of mental health disorders. Children are also at risk of infectious diseases such as measles and hepatitis. By working with local partners, we aim to improve access to healthcare services for children in the region and prevent the spread of disease.
